Having completed university with first class honours and securing a job for a leading fashion company Hannah believed her path to success was secure. But after working in London, our fashion capital, the challenge and excitement was fading and new ambitions prevailed.
Her experiences, skills and knowledge have so far proved invaluable however, and have now become the stepping stones for the launch of Beaumont Organic for Spring Summer 2008.
“During the past year I have spent time researching the effects that the growing of cotton has on our environment. Being a passionate fashionista and owning numerous cotton T’s I began to explore the niche our market has for beautiful clothes that are also environmentally friendly. Hence the launch of Beaumont Organic for Spring Summer 2008. The initial range consists of 8 beautiful pieces all made from 100% organic cotton jersey in neutral shades. Attention to detail, precision, and elegance prevail in all the styles, for our shops to be proud of and for our customers to enjoy.”

The differences between an organic and non organic t-shirt are phenomenal. Here are a few of the statistics.
“Conventionally grown cotton …
“… Consumes approximately 25% of the insecticides and more that 10% of the pesticides used in the world.”
“… Typically treats seeds with FUNGICIDES and INSECTICIDES”
“… Applies SYNTHETIC fertilisers”
“… Uses GENETICALLY MODIFIED seeds”
“… Applies HERBICIDES to kill weeds”
“… Initiates crop rotation with toxic CHEMICALS”
Organic Cotton uses UNTREATED seeds, never uses GENETICALLY MODIFIED seeds, builds strong soil through CROP ROTATION, and controls weeds through HAND HOEING.

The Beaumont Organic foundation pledges to donate 1% of its annual profits to the Niusawa School, Taveuni, Fiji.
The school, pupils and teachers hold a place dear to Hannah Nicole’s heart after living and teaching there in 2002.
In a country stricken by poverty she admired and respected the happiness and appreciation the Fijians had for all the simple expectations Europeans take for granted in life.
The foundation has been set up to provide these simple things…..things we like to call 'little luxuries'.
'To watch my pupils faces light up when I gave them a sticker for good work was a feeling I just can’t describe...they had never seen a sticker before'. Such luxuries are not sold in the island shop and can not be afforded by the locals.
Little Luxuries include – pens, pencils, pads, playing cards, yoyos, sporting equipment...
