California: A trip of a lifetime – words by Sally Finlay. In June myself, my new husband and my Beaumont Organic essentials went on our honeymoon to the USA. We started our journey in New York having been denied a visit back in 2008 when Zoom Air went bust. We covered the whole guide book and were truly exhausted, thankfully my Sian ankle length dress  allowed effortless style around the big apple. Our trip then took us to San Fran where we picked up our car and drove down to Evergreen lodge in Yosemite where our tent was pitched ready for us. We would highly recommend the food at the resort and to follow some romantic star gazing from a hammock next to a log fire. The views around Yosemitewere truly breathtaking and we captured my favourite photo from the holiday. My navy Effie dress was a very stylish addition to the views of Yosemiteand Glacier point and received a number of compliments. Our travels then took us to the 45 degree heat of death valley before heading for the bright lights of Vegas where we were lucky enough to experience the Hooverdam and The Grand Canyon from a helicopter thanks to the generosity of our wonderful friends. We would suggest a stay at the Signature at MGM for some reasonably priced luxury. We then had a long drive to the lovely city of San Diego where unfortunately we only had a few days to take in the sights. We did manage one of the best meals of the holiday at Donovans steakhouse in the Gas lamp Quarter. Our last stop of the trip was Manhattan beach in Los Angeles, we spent a day reliving our childhood at Disneyland - so much fun! Our last night was so special and a little more sophisticated, we had a seafront view at a restaurant named The Strand House, great food and very attentive staff. We had the trip of a lifetime and thanks to Hannah and Beaumont Organic I managed to look smart and chic even though my straighteners didn't work for 3 weeks!!
