When we booked our holiday this year to BrazilI I was thinking beaches, sun, and cocktails. However on reflection Brazil has a lot more to offer than just its stunning beaches, tropical climate and Caipirinha’s.  Iguazu Falls was one of our first stops – this water fall is amongst some of the most famous in the world and it certainly lives up to its name. We stayed at the Hotel Das Cataratas which overlooked the falls and was truly breathtaking! After a few days at the falls we flew to Florianopolisto really explore some of Brazils stunning beaches. Here we stayed in the boutique hotel Quinta Das Videiras which is a beautiful little hotel in the heart of the village. Whilst in Florianopolis I also took some time to explore the local shops, both small independents and department store. The girls dress very causally inBrazil, even in the evening due to the hot climate so the choice of casual wear is wide and exciting. However my favourite find was Farm a chain store in Brazil with lots of nice summery prints and beach throw-overs. Our final destination was Rio. It was here that the really exciting shopping started (and of course important tourist sights!) The famous Osklen shop is fantastic. Beautiful cuts, premium fabric and very nicely laid out store! I loved it. Also Maria Filo was a lovely find selling more delicate silk styles with attention to detail that you rarely find in the UK. We stayed at the Hotel Praia Ipanema in Rio which is in a great location next to the beach and near lots of trendy bars and restaurants. Here are some of the highlights from the trip…
