INTERVIEW IN THE METRO
This week, Hannah was interviewed by the Metro about fashion, style and her inspirations. Read the full interview here. Hannah Beaumont: Audrey Hepburn and Alexa Chung are my style icons Hannah Beaumont is owner and designer of Beaumont Organic, she talks to Metro about her laid-back style. What are you wearing? White blouse from Beaumont, print trousers from Topshop and my gorgeous Natalie jacket. Describe your style. Classic, laid-back chic. I generally dress casually but add heels and a nice jacket to finish. I have lots of jeans, nice tops and blouses and lots of gorgeous jackets and knits that I wear over them. How has it evolved? I used to experiment with clothes and wear all sorts of unusual creations – some made by me, some purchased in vintage stores – but I have moved to more timeless quality clothing that I can cherish for years to come. Any style mistakes? Yes. At 13, I was a bridesmaid in a huge coral dress with a thick fringe. I looked awful. Who inspires you style-wise? My grandmother is very stylish. She wears clothes now that I could wear myself. Also, Audrey Hepburn and more recent style icons such as Alexa Chung, who always puts looks together really well. Who inspired you personally? My dad. He has his own business and inspired me not only to start mine but to work hard. Is there anything you’d like to change about your life? No. I love what I do. It’s exciting and no two days are ever the same. I have a lovely house, an amazing husband who supports my long working hours and a perfect little poodle. How do you shop? Less often than I used to – probably no more than once a month and normally on my own. I do most of my shopping outside Britain as I love to have something different and find the shops in other countries more inspiring. I love Melrose in LA for vintage; Bimba & Lola and Uterqüe are great in Portugal. In Britain, I like vintage shops and love COS. Favourite piece of clothing? A vintage sequin top. I bought it years ago and it’s a trusted piece I always go back to. Favourite designers? Marni – I love its cuts. I also really like Carven. Is there anything you’d like to own but can’t afford? I have a few things I would like to purchase in the next few years. A classic Chanel bag would be high on the list. And I’d love a Porsche. I love the Panamera and the Cayenne. Tell us something no one knows about you. I tuck my dog into her bed at night with her teddy and gravy bone.
