TREAT OF THE WEEK - Vinho Verde from Portugal

Posted on July 14 2013

This week at the Beaumont Organic office, as Hannah has been visiting the factories, on her return we were treated to a bottle of Vinho Verde - or green wine, all the way from Portugal. Vinho Verde is a Portuguese wine that originated in the historic Minho province. The name literally means green wine, but translates as 'young' wine. It can be either red, white or rosé with a hint of sparkle and is meant to be consumed within a year of bottling.
