He’s a worldwide superstar, and smooth entertainer who is probably the only person who has ever been able to pull off a suit and tie, with trainers on his feet. Read on to hear more of what he was like LIVE this week…
In the words of Lucy Cowan …
On Tuesday night I went to see Justin Timberlake LIVE! The concert was at the Phones 4 U (was M.E.N) arena with a 23,000 capacity and a sold out event, the atmosphere was incredible!
Since being a teen I have loved his music so last year in a moment of madness I decided it would be a good idea to buy two tickets. We had really good seats and luckily we weren’t stood too close to any screaming girls!
I went with Sam, my boyfriend, who I wouldn’t say was dubious about the whole event but perhaps a little under-enthused, compared to me (most are!) but he was up dancing next to me and had a thoroughly good time! The stage set up was incredible; a forward facing arm extended over the crowd during the second half and made everyone feel within reaching distance of Mr JT himself.
He sang live alongside his multiple piece band called ‘The Tennessee Kids’ who were soulful, entertaining and the perfect accompaniment to the smooth voiced Memphis crooner. They were so good you didn’t know who to watch more! He was like a cross between Frank Sinatra, Elvis and Michael Jackson but with a modern twist, which he did actually reference in his set list. Justin was doing two sold out gigs in Manchester with the second one Wednesday and I enjoyed it that much that if I could, I would certainly do it all over again!
