Manchester’s annual dig the city event is back - and It’s bigger, better, greener and wackier than ever. Read on for an insight into what has been going on in Manchester…
With disco’s, digging, flower filled boots, piano’s draped in flowers and back to back events and entertainment for all the family, the city centre has never felt so alive. St Ann’s Square holds the festival hub where you can eat, drink and relax in peace, surrounded by an unusual amount of plants and flowers for the city centre.
The 2013 festival won a Commendation at the UK Event Awards and Gold at the RHS Britain in Bloom awards, so this years has a lot to live up to. Trust us, you wont be disappointed, the event is running from 2-9th August with events to keep you entertained during the day, after work and at the weekend.Hannah’s husband Nelson has been the main organiser of the event and has been working extremely long hours and very hard. What his team and him have achieved is amazing and it is wonderful to see the city brought to life and filled with SO MUCH nature.Be sure not to miss the event and to check the website for the daily timetable of activities, shows and demonstrations.
