18th March marks Global Recycling Day - an initiative to inspire recycling in many aspects of our life.
The fashion industry plays an important part in recycling fabrics and waste.
For SS21 we are proud to be working with recycled denim yarn.
We love working with this special yarn, let us tell you why and how:
WHY USE RECYCLED FABRIC?
• Recycled fabric can reduce landfill waste
• Recycled fabrics can protect future use of raw materials
• Our recycled yarns create a unique blended look & texture
HOW DO WE USE RECYCLED DENIM?
Our supplier in Italy creates sustainable fabric from used denim.
• All buttons or rivets are removed and separately recycled
• The jeans are processed into new fibres
• These fibres are spun into yarns that our factory in Portugal uses to produce our knitwear.
