A NOTE FROM HANNAH
Settling Into Spring At Home
If you live in the UK you will be very familiar with how wet this April has been! On a positive note though, all the wet weather has been the perfect tonic for our garden and I have spent many hours planting and preparing for the warmer months.
We renovated our garden last year, so this year is about reinstating some of my favourite herbs and plants. My top tip for herbs if you live in the UK is to focus on the hardy ones! Rosemary is great, and it's very versatile for use in summer dishes and punches. Rocket is another favourite as it’s super prolific, so you have plenty of salad to see you through the summer, and other easy wins include mint for fresh tea, chives and wild garlic.
I love that having a little patch of herbs means we are eating fresh from the plant, but also that it is very cost-effective and reduces waste from supermarket packaging!
Now all I'm hoping for is a little sun to help everything grow and let us enjoy our outdoor space, which is truly an extension of our home, a wonderful outdoor sanctuary.
I hope you are also able to take some time to connect with nature during the change of seasons, enjoying watching nature at its best, growing and blooming.
