A NOTE FROM HANNAH
Looking Back On June
Well, where to start?
I began the month of June with a heavy metal gut cleanse, a 5-day fluid diet packed with nutrients and vitamins, something I do a couple of times a year to reset my body and mind. Once you have read on you will see why I chose to do it ahead of June’s events as there were many long days and fizzy nights to come later in the month!
My morning ritual of yoga and journaling and a lovely summer solstice meditation event in Manchester provided some pockets of calm in what was otherwise an incredibly busy month.
At Beaumont Organic June is always a key month as we plan and implement our Spring Summer photoshoots for the year ahead. It is often a month where we are wildly ambitious about what we can fit into the days and weeks ahead, and also what the UK weather will have in store for us.
There is something very authentic for Beaumont Organic to do our shoots outside. Since my first shoot in my parent's garden back in 2008 I have loved seeing our natural clothing immersed in the countryside. This June was no different. We planned for sunny days in a meadow, and somehow, they materialised!
Looking back, it was not just our photoshoot, but indeed most of my June 2024 plans that were somewhat reliant on good weather, and if you live in the UK you will know only too well that the summer so far has been very underwhelming!
However, both my husband Nelson and my dad were able to enjoy BBQs outside to celebrate their birthdays, and we also hosted 100 friends and family in our garden for my belated 40th birthday party. To have been blessed with good weather for all these occasions is something I am truly very grateful for.
I won’t bore you with too many party details, but I have shared a photo of my dress. As fellow frock lovers, I am sure this is something you will appreciate! It was borrowed specially for the party and was so fun to float about in. And finally, a shot of the little party bags that I made up for all our special guests which we had personalised by a local calligrapher and were lovingly packed by myself.
